The Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) inviting experienced partners to collaborate on the National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2026. This is a landmark initiative aimed at fostering automotive education and skill development among school students across India.
📌 Introduction
ASDC, India’s first Sector Skill Council for the automobile industry, is launching NAO 2026 to engage students from classes 6–12. The Olympiad aims to:
- Promote awareness of the automotive industry
- Develop practical skills in areas like AI, IoT, robotics, automotive design, and more
- Encourage innovation and recognize young talent
- Bridge the gap between education and industry
Last year, NAO impacted over 1,47,000 students and 900+ schools—and this year’s vision is even bigger!
🎯 Objective of the RFP
To appoint one or more competent partners for end-to-end execution of NAO 2026, including:
- Planning, outreach, registrations, and coordination
- Online exam execution and support
- Regional and national finals management
- Data management, reporting, and closure
ASDC’s Role: Governance, approval, and monitoring only. No operational involvement.

- Planning & Strategy – Project plan, milestones, risk mitigation
- School Outreach & Registrations – Target: 2,00,000+ student registrations
- Conversion Management – Ensure 50%+ exam participation (min. 1,00,000 students)
- Online Exam Execution – Technical and academic integrity
- Results & Finals – Regional rounds and national finals
- Branding & Industry Sessions – Align with ASDC’s brand, conduct expert sessions
- Data Management & Closure – Real-time dashboards, secure database, final reporting
âś… Eligibility Criteria (Pre-Qualification)
- Registered entity in India (Company, Trust, Society) with pan-India presence for 3+ years
- 3+ years experience in program coordination, school exams, and related work
- 2+ years experience working directly with schools
- Must submit a self-declaration of not being blacklisted by any government/private body
- Dedicated team of min. 5 members for NAO execution

Proposal must include:
- Letter of Submission (Form 1)
- Application Form (Form 2)
- Registration & GST certificates
- Audited balance sheets (last 3 years)
- CSR certificate (if applicable)
- Self-declaration and recommendation letters
- Team details and office proof
đź’° Payment & Performance Link
Payments are strictly performance-based, linked to:
- Student registration targets
- 50%+ exam participation rate
- Timely exam execution
- Submission of accurate reports
- Final project sign-off
Penalties may apply for underperformance.
⚖️ Evaluation Process
Stage 1: Technical Bid (70 marks)
- Experience in school outreach, coordination, exams (40 marks)
- Presentation to ASDC committee (30 marks)
Stage 2: Financial Bid (30 marks)
- Only technically qualified bidders proceed
