1. Introduction
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Selection of Skill Training Service Provider to Conduct Skill Development Programs in Pimpri Chinchwad. The objective is to appoint a qualified organization/agency to impart training to approximately 16,000 women in the municipal area.
Pimpri Chinchwad city is administered by PCMC, providing municipal services to about 27 lakh citizens (estimated population 2025) within its jurisdiction of 181 sq.km. The population has grown at a decadal growth rate of 72.8% during 2001-11. The city is one of the leading industrial areas in India with around 4,000 odd industries (including large and MSMEs from Pimpri, Chinchwad, and Bhosari) offering employment opportunities.
Key Facts of Pimpri Chinchwad:

- Transgender population: ~4,000
- Number of Enterprises: ~4,000
- Key industries: IT/ITES, Auto, Food Processing, other service sectors
