1. Introduction
The Power Sector Skill Council (PSSC), a not-for-profit organisation promoted by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), and IEEMA, has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). This EOI invites proposals from eligible power sector industry partners for skill development interventions under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0.
2. Objective
The primary objective is to identify industry-driven proposals that address the demand for skilled and certified manpower across the power value chain. This includes generation (thermal, hydro, renewable), transmission, distribution, and emerging areas like smart metering, rooftop solar, energy storage, and EV charging infrastructure. A key focus is certifying the large uncertified field workforce in DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, and their contractors to ensure safe working practices in line with CEA Safety Regulations, 2023.
3. Key Dates
- Publication Date: 29th October, 2026
- Last Date for Submission: 14th November, 2026
